Position Overview
Legacy Staffing is seeking a skilled EHR Specialist on behalf of our client, a dynamic healthcare organization committed to operational excellence and quality patient care. This role is central to optimizing the use of the eClinicalWorks (eCW) electronic health record system, ensuring seamless integration with clinical and administrative workflows.
The EHR Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to customize, implement, and enhance EHR functionalities, support staff onboarding and training, and lead system-related projects. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who is analytical, organized, and passionate about improving healthcare operations through technology.
Key Responsibilities
EHR Workflow Customization & Optimization
- Analyze and improve clinical and operational workflows to align with eClinicalWorks capabilities.
- Customize templates, dashboards, and reports to meet organizational needs.
- Collaborate with staff to gather feedback and implement user-friendly solutions.
- Stay current on eCW updates and recommend system enhancements.
Staff Education & Onboarding
Develop and deliver structured EHR training programs for new hires and providers.Conduct refresher sessions for existing staff and maintain training documentation.Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency
Partner with leadership to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.Use data analytics to measure performance and impact of changes.Project Management
Lead EHR-related projects including upgrades, feature rollouts, and data migrations.Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely execution.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as a liaison between clinical, administrative, and IT teams.Support change management efforts related to EHR and operational updates.System Support & Troubleshooting
Provide first-line support for EHR issues and escalate as needed.Ensure timely resolution of system-related concerns.Documentation & Compliance
Ensure all EHR modifications comply with HIPAA and regulatory standards.Maintain documentation for audits, training, and system updates.Qualifications
2–4 years of experience with EHR systems; eClinicalWorks experience strongly preferredBackground in healthcare operations, workflow optimization, or process improvementStrong project management and multitasking abilitiesExcellent communication and training skillsAnalytical mindset with attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with reporting tools is a plusTeam-oriented, proactive, and adaptableEducation
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Business, or a related field preferred.
