Description

THIS IS NOT A "STRAIGHT" CST NEED.  THIS IS A CSTFA NEED ONLY.  NBSTSA FIRST ASSIST CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THIS NEED.

The Surgery Department specializes in the surgical treatment of a broad spectrum of clinical conditions. Having highly skilled surgeons with special interests allows us to offer a wide variety of endocrine, breast and oncologic surgical procedures, as well as gastrointestinal and colon and rectal (both open and laparoscopic), and hepatobiliary procedures.

Traveler must have : \t

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • \t

  • Able to adapt to stressful situations quickly and effectively.

    • Surgical Assistant : \t

  • Positioning the patient

    • \t

  • Providing visualization of the operative site

    • \t

  • Utilizing appropriate techniques to assist with hemostasis

    • \t

  • Participating in volume replacement or autotransfusion techniques as appropriate

    • \t

  • Using appropriate techniques to assist with closure of body planes

    • \t

  • Selecting and applying appropriate wound dressings, including the following :

    • \t

  • Providing assistance in securing drainage systems to tissue

    • \t

  • After orientation and successful post test, operation of laser when assigned

    • Requirements

    On Call REQUIRED - non-negotiable \t

  • 2+ yeasr CURRENT CST FIRST ASSIST experience - Required

    • \t

  • Previous travel experience - Preferred

    • \t

  • NBSTSA FIRST ASSIST Required (NCCT or any other cert will not be accepted)  \t
  • Temp NH Med Tech license required

    • \t

  • Traveler must have their own vehicle for this need
