Responsibilities Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit with 16 L&D beds and a 6-bed L&D triage Patient population includes neonates, infants, and adults Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 1-2 with an average census of 15 patients Care includes labor (vaginal), C-sections, multiple births, post-partum hemorrhage, pregnancy induced hypertension, and D&C procedures Uses Epic EMR (required), Pyxis system, and SBAR communication Night shift (3x12 hrs, 7 : 00 pm – 7 : 00 am) Floating required within the facility Two on-call shifts per 6-week period for AM and PM shifts Required to work three weekend shifts per contract Responsibilities include managing labor and delivery, assisting with C-sections and multiple births, as well as responding to obstetric emergencies Team-based unit with motivated, experienced staff Orientation provided with non-billable hours factored per contract length; modules completed during orientation Facility provides required scrub attire Must be compliant with all pre-employment requirements to start on time No more than 7 days of requested time off allowed; RTO cannot be during the first week of the assignment Travelers are expected to work holidays according to assignment period; no holiday RTO can be requested except under limited conditions Local candidates are accepted at the same rate Travel pairs cannot be assigned to the same shift and unit No blocked scheduling allowed Requirements Active GA or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience required BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required; AWHONN Intermediate preferred Epic experience required Must provide two supervisory references from a manager or above Must be away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one full year to return as a traveler Not accepting first-time travelers Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618442.
