As a result of our extended growth, we are seeking an Automation Engineer to join our team In Westland Michigan! The position is responsible for providing technological and electrical engineering support for a highly technical and automated glass value add facility. Typical equipment supported would include unique process equipment, robotics, programmable logic controllers, vision systems and process computers. Performance is measured against speed and yield variances to budget for both tempered and laminated products as well as against the achievement of plant quality and safety goals. Contact us today!

Responsibilities :

• Developing project plans related to engineering assignments and assisting in developing short and medium range plans
• Providing information for Project Expense requests and ACT's related to plant and process engineering (including basic technical information, vendor contract, review of technical data and performance of technical study projects) to assist in decision-making for expensed and capital project improvements
• Utilizing effective cost controls and sound engineering judgment in the timely planning and implementation of projects and other work assignments to contribute to plant productivity and profitability goals and objectives
• Working closely with a team of Technicians, Engineers and Mechanics to design, implement, maintain and improve our state-of-the-art processes and serve our customers.
