Batteries Plus is seeking a highly motivated Merchandise Specialist to support our Key Fob Program. This role combines traditional merchandising responsibilities with hands-on training, program rollout, and vendor collaboration. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys learning new skills, and is comfortable presenting to executives and training teams across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities :

Key Fob Program Execution & Training

Roll out the Key Fob program to retail store markets and support regional "train-the-trainer" events across multiple U.S. cities.

Conduct hands-on training for store teams on key cutting and programming key fobs.

Work with internal training teams to improve key production metrics at each store.

Research and recommend new key fob equipment and strategies to enhance the program.

Merchandising & Item Management

Facilitate new item setup, product updates, and maintenance in core systems (ProSource, planograms, signage, eCommerce).

Partner with vendors to ensure accurate product information, including cross-referencing keys to vehicle year, make, and model.

Support merchandising timelines, promotions, category launches, and presentation deck preparation for executives.

Vendor & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Communicate directly with vendors regarding product samples, marketing assets, and documentation.

Coordinate with internal teams, including Pricing, Inventory, Marketing, eCommerce, and Store Operations, to ensure smooth execution.

Reporting & Process Improvement

Pull basic sales, inventory, and promotional performance data to support analysis.

Track key category metrics and contribute to process improvements for operational efficiency.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Merchandising, Marketing, or related field.

Minimum 1 year of experience in merchandising, category management, buying, or related retail support role preferred.

Strong proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office; Excel / Google Sheets skills preferred.

Experience with merchandising systems and analytics tools (e.g., Looker) is a plus.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work independently.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements :

Regularly required to sit, use hands, talk, and hear; occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.

Requires close vision and extended computer use.

Operates in a standard office environment.
