Overview
Apply a broad understanding of computer and information science principles to build and maintain data pipelines in Python, PySpark, and TypeScript. Import and sync to various data sources, clean and standardize data elements, and fix data quality issues. Collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information for clients, data scientists, and business analysts to interpret. Use code authoring tools in designated platforms to make data accessible so that organizations can use it to evaluate and optimize policy. Build processes for users and data owners to interact with their data in platform using a variety of technologies, including Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript. Develop innovative solutions to complex data-driven problems and operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Python, PySpark, and TypeScript to support scalable data solutions
- Import, integrate, and synchronize data from diverse sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability
- Cleanse, standardize, and resolve data quality issues to deliver high-value datasets for clients, analysts, and data scientists
- Collect, manage, and transform raw data into usable formats that enable evidence-based decision-making and policy optimization
- Develop and maintain code within platforms like Palantir Foundry to ensure data is accessible and actionable
- Create user-facing processes and tools that allow data owners and stakeholders to interact effectively with their data
- Build APIs, scripts, and workflows that connect multiple technologies, including Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript
- Innovate and deliver creative solutions to complex, data-driven problems with a high degree of autonomy
- Collaborate within Agile and Scrum environments to deliver iterative, client-focused solutions
- Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing expertise in data engineering best practices and platform capabilities
