Overview

As the Director of Game Design, you will be a strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing the creative and mathematical vision within our studio. You will oversee the integration of land-based and digital-first slot games across multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends. This role demands a visionary with deep expertise in slot game design, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to lead high-performing teams across global, cross-functional environments. Your leadership will influence product strategy, guide the evolution of our game design frameworks, and ensure the delivery of compelling, high-quality slot experiences that resonate with audiences worldwide.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Leadership : Define and drive the creative and mathematical direction of the slot portfolio, aligning with broader business and product strategies.
  • Team Development : Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of game designers and creative leads, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with studio leadership, product management, engineering, and commercial teams to align slot game design with market needs and compliance standards.
  • Innovation & Quality : Champion the development of innovative game mechanics and mathematical models, ensuring adherence to internal standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Data-Driven Design : Leverage user insights, market data, and performance analytics to inform design decisions and optimize game performance.
  • Regulatory & Technical Oversight : Ensure the accuracy and completeness of game math documentation, simulations, and compliance materials.
  • Market Intelligence : Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.
  • Executive Reporting : Communicate design strategy, portfolio performance, and key initiatives to senior leadership and stakeholders.

What We're Looking for

  • 8+ years of experience in slot game design, with a proven track record of delivering successful titles in land-based or digital gaming.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role managing creative or technical teams in a matrixed, global organization.
  • Deep understanding of game math, probability, and statistical modeling, with hands-on experience in simulation tools (C++ / C# preferred).
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance creative vision with business objectives.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing at the executive level.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, drive change, and scale design operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for slot games and a deep appreciation for player experience and engagement.
  • High integrity, collaborative mindset, and a commitment to excellence.
