- And much more!\n\nPosition Summary : \n\nThis role offers leadership support during non-peak hours, serves as a resource for nursing and support staff, assists with patient care, and ensures overall quality of patient services.\n
- Oversees and mentors nursing and support staff during shifts.\n
- Determines staffing levels and assignments considering staff availability, skills, patient census, and acuity.\n
- Provides direct patient care as needed.\n
- Assists staff with problem-solving and management of patient care issues.\n
- May take on patient assignments to ensure adequate staffing.\n
- Evaluates patient care effectiveness and addresses issues impacting patient outcomes.\n
- Addressees complaints regarding patient care through established protocols.\n
- Performs role-specific tasks, including entering orders and coordinating patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.\n
- Ensures that staff have the necessary equipment and resources to deliver quality patient care safely.\n
- Incorporates evidence-based practices into clinical operations and procedures.\n
- Promotes an environment that encourages professional development.\n\nMinimum Qualifications : \n
- Current RN license in Kentucky or a compact state.\n
- Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.\n
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.\n
- BLS certification is required.\n
