Licensed Dental Assistant (Lda)
Join our team as a full-time Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) at our new beautiful, state-of-the-art Carlton Street dental clinic. Our LDA's serve as integral members of the clinical team in providing high quality and caring dentistry as well as an exceptional patient experience. This position is assigned to our pediatric floor and will be working with children during their dental visits.
Community Dental Care is Minnesota's largest provider of comprehensive dental care for people of all ages on public programs. We operate five clinics across the state : Maplewood, Carlton Street, Crystal, Rochester and Buffalo.

Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental care with a focus on the health needs of the patientsComplete preliminary charting of the oral cavity and surrounding structures; take vital signs, and radiographsPerform mechanical polishing to clinical crowns, take impressions and a bite registration, etch appropriate enamel surfaces, apply and adjust pit and fissure sealants, place and remove rubber dam, place temporary fillings and recement intact temporary restorationsRemove sutures, place and remove periodontal dressings, place cotton pellets and temporary restorative materialsUnder supervision, administer nitrous oxide inhalation anesthesia and monitor patientPerform restorative procedures such as placing, contouring, and adjusting amalgam and composite restorations, and adapting and cementing stainless steel crownsQualifications
Completion of an accredited dental assisting programDental Assisting licensure in MN (or pending licensure)CPR / AED certificationExperience working with culturally diverse communities preferredProficiency in a second language preferredCarlton St Clinic Hours
