Dean Of Instruction
Location : Beloit, KS Campus Reports to : VP of Student & Instructional Services Status : Full Time
Responsibility for supervising academic departments. The Dean of Instruction maintains accurate records of faculty evaluations and provides oversight of the college curriculum. General responsibilities include assisting with the development of policies and procedures relating to academic affairs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Masters Degree required
- Experience in post-secondary education required
- Experience with online education
- Experience in curriculum maintenance and development
- Supervisory skills
- Human Relations / Public Relations skills
- Program Improvement / Effectiveness

Essential Functions
Regular attendance and timelinessSupervise the following college staff : Division Chairs, Instructional Program Directors, Faculty, Teacher Aids, Substitute Instructors, Adjunct / Short Term Instructors, and Instructional Coordinator which includes curriculum development and general instructional assistanceOversees high school concurrent curriculum and instructionWorks with Division Chairs, department chairs and faculty in departmental planning and curriculum developmentWorks with the administrative team on the development and implementation of Carl Perks grant activitiesMonitors and reports on KBOR Performance AgreementsWorks directly with the maintenance and improvement of the instructional facultyResponsible for the preparation of college catalog, faculty handbook, schedules, and program reviewsEstablish and maintain an active working relationship with Kansas Board of RegentsEstablish and maintain the College's faculty development programAssists the Vice President of Student and Instructional Services with the Higher Learning Commission accreditation for the CollegeAssists Directors and Division Chairs with programmatic accreditationResponsible for the development and maintenance of the college's assessment processesOversight of Program Inventory and Course Inventory (KBOR site)Supervision of online course development and course offeringAssists Vice President of Finance & Operations in the preparation and management of the College budgetPlans and reports immediate and long-range equipment needs for all departmentsScreens all department purchase requestsDevelops and implements faculty orientationConducts regularly scheduled faculty meetingsAssists the Division Chairs in coordinating department advisory committee meetingsMaintains confidentiality and accurate recordsReview relevant areas of the website and recommend changes to your supervisorOther Responsibilities
