Must-Have :

Experience with ventilators and floor therapy.

Familiarity with neonatal acuity is preferred.

Good assessment skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.

Ability to respond to rapid shifts in patient care needs.

Flexibility to work in various areas including ER, ICU, and NICU.

Description :

The department covers a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults.

The average patient census ranges from 60 to 110, with treatments varying by acuity and shift.

Travelers may expect to provide anywhere from 2 to 3 treatments per patient per day, depending on individual needs.

Candidates must possess the ability to prioritize effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities include floor therapy, responding to emergencies, and participating in rapid response, code blue, and trauma team activities.

Assessments will be performed regularly throughout the shift based on established protocols.

Travelers will assist with intubation but will not be required to perform this independently.

The team works closely with hospitalists and intensivists.

Orientation will cover departmental systems and procedures to ensure effective integration into the team.

Shifts are typically scheduled as 12-hour blocks, with some flexibility available for self-scheduling.

Weekend and holiday shifts are a requirement, typically every six weeks and two out of four holidays, respectively.
