Description
The Regional Sales Director will be responsible for strategically building and leading a highly performing regional sales team to exceed sales goals and align with business objectives. The RSD will assist in identifying, recruiting, training, developing, and retaining top talent within their assigned geography.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of competitive strategic plans and marketing objectives, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and market dynamics.
- Effectively communicate and reinforce performance expectations, marketing strategies, and tactical execution plans during management and sales meetings to drive clarity and accountability.
- Oversee and manage the regional operating budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and financial discipline to support strategic initiatives.
- Lead the creation of regional business plans, guiding the field sales team in executing defined strategies and tactics that deliver measurable results.
- Design and implement account-specific business plans, grounded in a deep understanding of local market forces and customer needs, to drive targeted growth.
- Lead cross-functional teams to build and sustain long-term relationships with key accounts and stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration across the marketplace.
- Analyze and evaluate business plans to ensure the team is set up to deliver on expectations consistently and to exceed sales targets.
- Engage and inspire employees, foster collaboration, influence others and integrate functions, teams, people, processes and systems to drive superior results
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university10+ years of pharmaceutical industry commercial experience in Sales, Market Access and / or Marketing3+ years of proven pharmaceutical sales management experiencePrior management experience in OncologyProven experience in successful product launchesDocumented successful track record in sales; and history of being a top-level performerDesired Qualifications
Ability to manage a diverse field team through strong leadershipStrong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbalThe annual base salary for this position ranges from $180,000 - $240,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include a company car or car allowance and eligibility to earn commissions / bonus based on company and / or individual performance
