Position Purpose

Under close general direction performs semi-skilled and routine work in the processing and collection of leaf and related refuse.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

  • Removes leaves and related materials from city streets and city property.
  • Performs other manual labor as requested.
  • Performs related work as required.

Qualifications

Training and Experience

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an equivalent GED certificate.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.

    • Special Requirements

  • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug screening.

    • Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of the operation of trucks and other assigned pieces of equipment.
  • Ability to use common sense in the safe operation of small equipment in confined areas.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and the general public.
  • Exhibits the traits of sound judgment, resourcefulness, dependability, exercises mature judgment and integrity.
