Procurement Manager Strategic Raw Materials
Reporting to the Head of Procurement Strategic Raw Materials, this role is responsible for managing multiple high-value procurement categories across various sites and suppliers. The primary objective is to develop and implement procurement strategies for a portfolio of monomers, identify and cultivate supplier relationships, manage risk and value, and provide market insights to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to reduce costs, optimize working capital, and manage risk.
- Oversee contracting processes in compliance with procurement and finance policies, including delegation of financial authority, under the guidance of the Head of Procurement.
- Collaborate with global procurement team to drive optimal outcomes for the company.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for raw materials and communicate category plans to stakeholders.
- Support supply chain, trading operations, and site teams with supplier performance issues, complaints, and volume forecasts.
- Deliver on value creation targets and maintain value tracking systems.
- Provide backup support within the Procurement team as needed.
- Actively contribute to the global Procurement team by promoting best practices, standard processes, and governance.
Qualifications and Skills :
Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Sustainability, and / or equivalent. Master's Degree and / or MBA preferred.Minimum 5 years' Procurement experience preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment. Prefer 7 to 10 years' demonstrated experience.Basic chemicals or petrochemical raw material procurement experience a plus.Proven track record in procurement with strong strategic and operational capabilities.Commitment to integrity, customer value, teamwork, innovation, and DE&I (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion).Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Strong collaboration skills with senior stakeholders and suppliers.Effective decision-making and purchasing capabilities.Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.Self-motivated, results-driven, and goal-oriented.Strategic thinker with strong planning and organizational skills.Outstanding interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.Experience working in global, cross-cultural environments.Advanced proficiency in MS Office, preferably SAP and / or ERP experience.Must be fluent in English (written and verbal).
