We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will gather and document information about patients for their doctors visits. Responsibilities include printing lab reports, completing summaries of treatment sessions, charting doctors appointments, creating labs and imaging orders, creating and processing prescriptions authorizations, DME orders, long term process, referrals all under provider supervision and operating electronic health records.
A requirement to be consider for this position
The candidate for the position must be bilingual (English-Spanish) fluently.
Experience 1 to 3 years required.
Prefer experience with EHR Practice Fusion.
Prefer experience in Primary Care Practice.
Responsibilities
Documenting patients visits by taking chief complains, patient's vitals and entering them in the electronic health records systemCollaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and comprehensive patient documentationCoordinate with doctors to complete and submit medical recordsCoordinate with doctors to create lab and imaging orders, also creating the referrals to specialistCommunicate professionally with patients, doctors, and healthcare staffComplete administrative tasks as requested, including assisting patient with the kiosk.Qualifications
High school diploma / GED or equivalentPrevious experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar positionAbility to take detailed notes and accurate documentationStrong computer and transcription skillsAbility to adhere to strict confidentiality requirementsHighly organized with excellent time-management skillsAbility to work well under pressure
