Job Description
The Manager, Laboratory Technical Operations and Quality provides leadership and oversight for all aspects of the Laboratory's technical operations, including point of care testing. Ensures continuous regulatory inspection readiness and that all testing equipment is properly maintained, meet quality control standards, and operate efficiently.
Key responsibilities include developing and monitoring the laboratory quality plan, tracking quality indicators and non-conforming events, conducting audits of laboratory processes, leading the quality meetings, and supporting the implementation of the Laboratory Safety program.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that there is adequate staffing in each area of the laboratory and on all three shifts.
- Successfully lead and coach staff to work effectively as a team, empowering members to make decisions without direct and continuous input.
- Direct and coordinates staff to provide cost-effective delivery care.
- Supports the development and ongoing maintenance of the competency assessment program, ensuring all lab staff demonstrate and maintain annual competency.
- Verify an employee is trained and competent prior to performing testing on patient specimens independently.
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science Chemistry, Biology, or related Life Science required.MT / MLS certification from ASCP, NCA, AMT or equivalent required.Minimum Six (6) Years Of Medical Laboratory Experience Required.Minimum three (3) years of laboratory operations management experience in the clinical laboratory environment required.J-18808-Ljbffr
