Job Title : Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO)

Reports To : Project Manager

Summary

The Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) is responsible for ensuring the safety of all personnel and property on construction sites. This position requires an EM 385-1-1 40-hour class completion certificate. The SSHO must ensure that the requirements of 29 CFR 1926.16 are met for the project.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project\'s safety program
• Conduct safety inspections and audits
• Investigate accidents and near-misses
• Train employees on safety procedures
• Comply with all applicable safety regulations
• Communicate with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and other stakeholders on safety matters
