Responsibilities

• Assess process capabilities, innovates and implements process improvements on key projects with divisional impact.
• Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, tooling and / or automation.
• Develop and maintains qualified injection molding production lines.
• Train and / or provide work direction to technicians and may train manufacturing personnel when required as part of a validation.
• Serve as a core team member on new product projects and transfer projects.
• Actively participates in concept review and development on new injection-molded products and tooling. Provide input and alternatives during part design reviews in order to improve manufacturability of the final design.
• Ensures that molding concerns are reviewed and resolution provided during mold design reviews.
• Provides frequent and appropriate communications with all internal and external customers.
• Stay current on core competencies and best practices in injection molding to ensure incorporation into new processes.
• Ensures validation documentation and manufacturing processes meet all Gerresheimer Quality system requirements.
• Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
• Identify initiatives to reduce or contain cost, improve material flow, evaluate capacity and manage continuous improvement. Other duties as assigned by manager.
• Occasional travel to offshore locations may be required up to 25%.
