Sales Development Manager

As a Sales Development Manager you will develop, train and lead a team of both in-office employees and offshore contractors. The Sales Development team is the first interaction with prospective 1-800Accountant clients and is key to the success of 1-800Accountant. This role sits in our beautiful, brand new office in Largo, FL!

Responsibilities :

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Sales Development Representatives to achieve individual and team performance goals.
  • Conduct team meetings and one-on-one sessions to provide feedback, coaching, and support.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to enhance team morale and productivity.
  • Own all interviewing, hiring, and employment termination responsibilities for all SDR team members.
  • Oversee daily Sales Development operations to ensure efficient and effective appointment setting processes.
  • Monitor all metrics and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Develop and maintain all team schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal team performance.
  • Regularly meet with other department heads & other stakeholders (Sales Leadership / Sales Enablement / Quality Assurance / Sales Operations) to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Set performance targets and goals for the SDR team.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as necessary.
  • Develop and continuously refine call scripts, talk tracks, and objection handling guides to improve conversion rates
  • Training and Development :
  • Work with the Sales Enablement leadership team to develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of Sales Development Reps.
  • Ensure all team members (stateside employees and / or offshore contractors) are up-to-date with product knowledge, conversation techniques, and industry best practices.
  • Identify any skill gaps and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Analyze department processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • When necessary, investigate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance productivity and customer experience.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for appointment setting activities.
  • Ensure high levels of consistency by monitoring and improving the quality of telephone interactions with prospects.
  • Handle any escalated prospect complaints, providing resolution in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements :

  • 3+ years of SDR or Inside sales management experience( preferably in high-volume environment)
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient with Salesforce
  • Ability to maintain a positive and upbeat attitude
  • Hands-on experience with Predictive Dialer platforms( AWS, Five9, Convoso, or similar)
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities : Lead by example with professionalism, reliability, and accountability
  • Ability to problem solve, understand impact, identify root cause, determine the resolution, and make recommendations
  • Location : On-site in Largo, FL

    Standard Operating Hours : 9am-5 : 30pm EST Mon-Fri

  • Compensation : $80k-$90k + bonus based on team performance (consulted appointments)
