Overview
To consult with Navy Federal's leaders and business partners to identify critical learning gaps related to security and emergency preparedness and recommend the best learning solution to support business unit objectives and enterprise-wide initiatives aligned with Navy Federal's University learning model and enterprise strategy.
Collaborate enterprise-wide with operational and security partners to understand organizational and department training needs and support the development of strategy-focused learning programs that strengthen security readiness.
Partner with security guard forces and subject matter experts to curate, validate, and develop specialized content and training resources including emergency response protocols to support enterprise strategy and goals. Measure effectiveness of learning solutions and programs. Serve as learning subject matter expert to provide knowledge of emergency preparedness, design programs, principles, development standards, techniques, and methodologies and apply each, ensuring a positive learner / customer experience and alignment with Navy Federal's overall strategy and culture.
Travel may be required to deliver training, conduct assessments, and collaborate with business partners.
Responsibilities
- Consult and collaborate with business leaders to identify learning needs, gaps and updates or enhancements to existing plans. Support needs analysis on strategic requests and make learning recommendations for less complex analysis and solutions to support business objectives in alignment with Navy Federal's strategy.
- Consult and act as a resource on professional and talent development learning to either directly or indirectly support and align with enterprise strategy and needs
- Participate in the development of learning strategies, tactics and solutions and assist in the design and development of learning solutions and content for professional development and employee upskilling programs
- Facilitate learning solutions for professional development, emergency preparedness and other areas as applicable in support of company-wide and / or business unit objectives
- Use quantitative and qualitative methods and metrics to measure, evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of training programs and / or immersive learning plans to ensure objectives are achieved
- Develop reference materials, support tools and leader resources that reinforce strategic learning
- Mentor less experienced team members and partner with the business to achieve desired outcomes, and in support of leaders in setting performance standards and identifying potential skill gaps related to expectations
- Act as a liaison between the Learning Solutions team and Security Partners providing swift and thorough transitions for customers and business partners
- Remain current with industry learning best practices and technical, product and program enhancements
- Participate in large-scale and / or cross-Department / Division projects and programs
- Collaborate and provide support for Sr Learning Solutions Architect in working with HR / L&TD's Vendor Partnership team
- Hybrid environment across multiple work locations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience in one or more of the following : program management and evaluation, learning science, communications, instructional design, organizational development and / or extensive experience designing, developing, and implementing trainingWillingness to learn, use a growth mindset and combine theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on applicationExperience in conducting needs assessment and analysis for large scale learning solutionsExtensive experience in synchronous learning and / or facilitation for individuals or groupsExperience in working and participating in cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projectsExpert knowledge of instructional theories, educational psychology, educational theory, tools and resourcesExperience successfully influencing, leading and / or guiding others towards goalsExperience in organizational, planning, and project management skills and knowledgeDemonstrated skill in effectively building relationships with and influencing team members, management, vendors, and a diverse group of stakeholdersDemonstrated skill in compiling, organizing and presenting findings and conclusions clearly and concisely to stakeholders and managementAdvanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skillsStrong skill communicating with all levels within an organizationStrong skill in building strategic and execution-focused plans and alliances with partner leadershipAdvanced skill interacting tactfully and effectively in difficult situationsStrong verbal and written communication skills to include speaking and / or presenting in front of groups in a professional settingBachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Technology, Human Resources, business, communication, behavioral sciences, Program Management or related field or the equivalent combination of training, education and experienceDesired Qualifications
