Direct Support Professional Job description

Duties : - Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges - Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration - Implement behavior management strategies and support individuals in developing appropriate social skills - Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals by following established protocols and procedures - Document and report any incidents or changes in behavior to the appropriate supervisor - Promote and uphold resident rights and advocate for individuals' needs and preferences

Experience : - Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges is preferred - Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities is a plus - Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies is beneficial - First aid and CPR certification is desirable

Work Location : In person
