The System’s Programmers will conduct project management for the analysis of the VISION Study. This is a 3-arm study with approximately 3, participants followed for months. The system’s programmer will report to the lead biostatistician / epidemiologists, project manager, and PIs (leadership team) for direction on supporting analyses that need to be completed for manuscript writing and results dissemination. The system’s programmer coordinates and completes analysis activities among graduate research assistants (GRAs), manuscript writers, and laboratory teams to ensure the completion of these activities within the provided deadlines.
Key job duties and experience :
1. REDCap survey administration for an extensive research survey with a minimum of 1, participants. UNC REDCap experience is greatly preferred, but we will consider REDCap experience at other Universities.
2. Fluent in SAS and R coding. Ability to contribute to analysis datasets and create data dictionaries.
3. Translate analysis ideas into data sets with excellent documentation for reproducibility.
4. Organize and track analysis projects for multiple manuscripts. Follow-up with team members to ensure activities are completed within assigned deadlines. Provide solutions and recommendations to ensure work is completed within the assigned deadlines.
5. Excellent communication skills to liaise between the PIs, statisticians, laboratory teams, VISION project manager, and the GRAs. Meet with the GRAs regularly to provide technical support, offer feedback, facilitate goal setting, and oversee project management.
6. Integrate Quality Assurance activities into all work assigned and organize materials in such a way that different analysis team members understand how data sets were derived and which data sets to use for future analysis.
7. Attend analysis and manuscript writing meetings.
8. Create de-identified datasets upon request of the leadership team.
9. Additional related duties as assigned. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in operations analysis and design, systems programming, or closely related area; or a
Course work in epidemiology, biostatistics, or related field.
