State Licensed Staff Attorney

A company is looking for a Staff Attorney to lead its global legal strategy and ensure compliance across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic legal counsel to support global operations and ensure compliance with laws and governance standards

Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts to align with the organization's mission and risk tolerance

Advise on international education, employment law, data privacy, and corporate compliance across multiple countries

Required Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar

5-10 years of experience practicing law, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house counsel experience

Expertise in contract negotiation, corporate governance, and international compliance

Strong knowledge of data privacy, employment law, and nonprofit regulatory frameworks

Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical guidance for non-legal stakeholders
