Role overview : The Vice President of Strategic Management will serve as a key operational leader, driving alignment and performance across a network of multifamily operating companies. This individual will partner closely with portfolio leadership to assess operations, identify opportunities, and execute initiatives that create measurable value.
From diligence and integration through long-term optimization, this role plays a pivotal part in shaping how each acquisition scales successfully within the broader platform. It requires a seasoned operator, someone comfortable working hands-on, communicating across multiple leadership levels, and balancing strategic insight with executional precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with portfolio company leaders to ensure smooth transitions post-acquisition and consistent alignment with corporate objectives.
- Drive operational excellence across multiple business units, focusing on efficiency, profitability, and innovation.
- Lead platform-wide initiatives in areas such as insurance strategy, ancillary income generation, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in finance, accounting, and technology to execute strategic projects and ensure consistent portfolio performance.
- Build strong, trusted relationships across diverse company cultures and leadership styles.
- Develop and monitor performance metrics to track integration progress and operational success.
- Support M&A due diligence efforts by evaluating operational readiness and risk exposure.
Qualifications
15+ years of senior leadership experience in multifamily, real estate operations, or a related industry.Proven success leading large-scale operational or integration initiatives across multiple business units.Strong understanding of both financial and technological levers that drive business performance.Entrepreneurial and hands-on, with the ability to lead within lean, fast-moving environments.Exceptional relationship management and communication skills across varied stakeholders.Background in private equity–backed or high-growth companies preferred.What’s in It for You
