Job Description
Position : Interventional Cardiologist Employment Type : Full-time (Minimum 40 hours / week) Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology Schedule : Includes on-call coverage, weekend duty, and monthly travel to outreach clinics (a few days per month)Key Responsibilities :
- Provide inpatient, outpatient, and clinic-based cardiology services
- Diagnose and treat heart and vascular conditions using non-surgical, catheter-based procedures and advanced imaging
- Manage conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart valve disorders, congenital heart disease, arrhythmias, angina, and heart attacks
- Promote prevention and management of cardiovascular diseases
- Evaluate medical histories and educate patients on heart health
- Conduct physical exams and interpret lab and imaging results
- Prescribe medications and monitor risk factors contributing to heart disease
- Perform interventional procedures, including cardiac catheterization and coronary angioplasty
- Provide follow-up care and preventive plans for cardiology patients
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation for coding and billing
- Participate in quality assurance, medical audits, and staff educationMinimum Requirements :
- Medical Doctorate or ECFMG equivalent
- Completion of residency in Internal Medicine
- Fellowship training in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology

- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
- Current Nebraska medical license
