JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and motivated Lead Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in preparing high-quality food, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has experience leading others on the line. As Lead Line Cook, youll play a key role in ensuring smooth service by setting the pace, supporting other line cooks, and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the line during service, ensuring timing, coordination, and consistency across dishesSet up and stock your station with all necessary supplies and assist others as neededPrep ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards (e.g., chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, preparing sauces)Cook and plate dishes to spec, maintaining presentation and flavor consistencyCommunicate effectively with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef regarding daily needs, prep lists, or any issuesEnsure your station and surrounding areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the shiftMonitor food quality, portion sizes, and plating standardsTrain and support new or less experienced line cooks as neededFollow and enforce all health, safety, and sanitation regulationsHandle leftover food properly, label and store in compliance with guidelinesSkills & Qualifications
2+ years of experience in a line cook or similar kitchen role requiredLeadership or supervisory experience in a kitchen setting is strongly preferredProficient in cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipmentAbility to multitask and lead by example in a high-pressure environmentDependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a teamStrong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and food safetyClear communicator with good interpersonal skillsFlexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidaysBenefits
