Fiber Cable Assembler

Shift : Monday–Friday, 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM

Location : Hudson, WI (30 minutes from Saint Paul)

Pay : 20- 25 / hr

Job Description

The assembler will work with fiber cables, measuring, cutting, and placing them into clips according to detailed blueprints or work instructions. Each color-coded wire must be fed through connectors with high precision. After feeding, a small drop of epoxy is applied, and the wires are pulled through to complete a full coating. Assemblies are then cured, polished, and tested to ensure proper functionality. Tasks are performed using small hand tools, microscopes, or projection scopes in a clean room environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Measure and cut fiber cables
  • Place cables into clips following instructions
  • Feed color-coded wires through connectors accurately
  • Apply epoxy and complete wire coating
  • Cure and polish assemblies
  • Test final assemblies for proper connections

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1+ year of experience in small parts or medical device assembly (e.g., catheter or guidewire)
  • Ability to distinguish colors accurately
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with hand tools, microscopes, and blueprint reading
  • Familiarity with clean room environments and wire / electronics assembly

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 / hr.
