Manager, Health & Safety

The successful candidate for our Manager, Health & Safety role will be responsible for overseeing / providing guidance regarding all aspects of environmental, health, and safety protocols within our US manufacturing plants located in TN, NC, AL, IN & VA. They will develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. This role will both provide structure and resource for training programs, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance. This position will have a direct reporting line to the Global Director of Quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain comprehensive EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Lead incident investigation processes, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Develop / help deliver EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors to promote awareness and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into manufacturing processes, equipment design, and facility layout.
• Manage waste management programs, including hazardous material handling, storage, and disposal, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and report on key EHS performance indicators, providing regular updates to management and stakeholders.
• Stay current on emerging EHS regulations, technologies, and best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors during inspections and inquiries.
• Foster a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement by engaging employees at all levels and promoting proactive EHS initiatives.
