Quality Assurance Supervisor
The Quality Assurance Supervisor will provide leadership in quality and technical matters to the plant team to ensure compliance with the Corporate Quality Policy.
Responsibilities :
- Hire and supervise Quality staff, including scheduling, approving time records, periodic evaluation, counseling, and performance documentation.
- Conduct departmental and job-specific training.
- Perform laboratory analyses and investigations, developing and applying new techniques.
- Notify key stakeholders of identified issues and ensure proper communication.
- Provide technical support for resolution of quality problems with operations.
- Maintain files of test results and product dispositions, supporting ERP and lab data systems.
- Maintain and update product specifications, including customer and raw material specifications, ensuring finished product and raw materials are tested per specification.
- Develop and adhere to Quality SOPs.
- Support the plant Food Safety & Quality System as SQF Practitioner or equivalent GFSI manager, including compliance with the Food Safety Modernization Act.
- Prepare test schedules and procedures, solutions, and reagents for laboratory personnel conducting tests.
- Maintain Good Laboratory Procedures (GLPs), including calibration, and order laboratory supplies.
- Update and support food safety programs and systems, including HACCP, sanitation, and environmental monitoring program.
- Maintain quality systems for the plant, ensuring work instructions, SSOPs, procedures, and documentation are up to date.
- Participate in quality complaint investigations, verifying corrective action completion and continued conformance.
- Perform and participate in internal and third-party audits, ensuring compliance to internal quality policies and applicable local regulations.
- Support facility during inspections, customer audits, communications, commercialization, inter-plant transfers, and other regulatory or customer interactions.
- Provide technical assistance to quality assurance and operations.

Quality assurance expertiseFood science knowledgeSupervisory skillsBachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or similar science / Engineering2+ years of quality experience in a management roleExperience with laboratory, quality, and / or food safety systemsExperience in a plant environment preferredKnowledge of relevant GFSI standards such as SQF, BRC, IFS or FSUnderstanding of Food Safety regulations and FSMAHACCP / food safety experience in food, chemical, or pharmaceutical industryKnowledge of quality management systems, GFSI audit standards, SSOPs, and environmental hygiene programsPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00 / yr.
