Banquet Server

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent opportunity for a Banquet Server at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center

Banquet Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. They are expected to be attentive to guest needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed.

Please note that Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center employees are covered by a collective bargaining agreement with Unite Here Local 11 , and union membership is a condition of employment.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Follow through with the proper and timely setup and execution of banquet events.
• Set up includes tables, chairs, and inspecting linen, silver, and china prior to use.
• Maintain a high degree of professionalism.
• Keep all equipment and facilities organized, clean, and safe. Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) at each shift start to ensure rooms are set as contracted.
• Communicate with lead catering staff regarding any special needs and assist in ensuring events are on time.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards; report issues to F&B Manager.
• Deliver food and beverages, including alcohol, maintaining proper service etiquette.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed.
• Greet guests warmly and adhere to grooming standards.
• Understand and communicate available products and services.
