We are seeking a Hematology / Oncology Physician Assistant for a 260-day locum tenens assignment in California starting Nov 3, 2025. This opportunity features day shifts, Monday through Friday, in an outpatient setting, providing both new patient consultations and follow-up care as part of a collaborative healthcare team. Job Details Location : California Start Date : Nov 3, 2025 LOA : 260 days Provider Type Needed : Hematology / Oncology Physician Assistant Schedule : Monday - Friday, either 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM or 9 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM Responsibilities and Duties Function independently within a team environment to deliver comprehensive outpatient hematology / oncology care Manage both new patient consultations and follow-up appointments Counsel and educate patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and symptom management Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation in electronic medical records Additional Information At least one year of hematology / oncology experience is preferred, but strong candidates with a passion for the field will be considered Must hold a valid and unrestricted California PA license Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Current National Board Certification (PA-C) Current BLS certification Furnishing license required DEA license must be obtained within 3 months of starting Demonstrated advanced clinical judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
