Conduct in-depth site surveys at Navy installations, identify Telco points of entry and preparing for MPLS circuit installation in collaboration with Local Exchange Carriers (LECs).
Assess and document the state and adequacy of site wiring. Determine and recommend new wiring routes as needed to interconnect legacy and next-gen components.
Create and maintain accurate site documentation, including photographs, site sketches, solution diagrams, and cut sheets for telephony requirements.
Prepare detailed Site Survey Reports to summarize findings and migration-readiness per location.
Develop site-specific migration plans, including high-level CONOPS and timelines for transition activities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum 3-10 years minimum above referenced tasks / duties as Carrier Grade Telecom Technician / Engineer with telephony infrastructure, TDM Trunks (PRI / T1), Channel Service Units (CSUs), dial plans, and routing patterns, IP / MPLS, fax machines, elevator alarms, STU-III / ST, E&M, analog, and PRI / T1 circuits, and provision new telecom circuits and wiring, in a DOD / IC enterprise environment.
REQUIRED EDUCATION : BS / BA STEM Degree or Related Fields
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION(s) : BICSI, RCDD, CCNA.
