Are you the Relief Therapeutic Counselor / One-to-One Staff we have been looking for? In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by working with our youth! Total Achievement Program (TAP) is a therapeutic after-school and summer program for youth ages 6 to 12 years old in Norton and surrounding towns. TAP staff work closely with the youths' families, schools, and community agency providers to support each client's success as part of a comprehensive treatment team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver enriching daily activities for students (arts and crafts, homework assistance, recreational activities, offsite field trips, and more).
- Create a safe and therapeutic community by helping youth build positive peer relationships, manage behaviors in group settings, and develop effective coping strategies.
- Work as a member of a treatment team that provides group counseling, helps youth set goals, and collaborates with the youth's support systems to develop treatment plans.
- Support students in discovering what makes them feel competent and valued, helping them develop social skills to function at home and in the community.

Must be 21 years of age.High school diploma or equivalent required; college degrees are preferred.Experience with latency-age children or behavior modification is preferred.Valid driver's license required to transport youth.Ability to learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to maintain a safe therapeutic atmosphere.Background and driving record checks will be performed.At JRI, we are committed to fostering a workplace where every team member feels valued and respected.
