Surgical Tech

This position will work full time at 32 hours per week.

4 days a week with 1 day off. Preferably day off would be Thursday.

Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist plays a critical role in ensuring optimal surgical outcomes by maintaining sterile environments, preparing procedure rooms, and assisting in surgical procedures. Responsibilities include following meticulous sterile techniques and assembling necessary surgical instruments and supplies according to physician preference cards. This role involves inspecting all equipment for functionality, ensuring it meets the specific requirements for each procedure. The Surgical Technologist consistently adheres to aseptic techniques when handling sterile packages, setting up for procedures, and providing intraoperative support, contributing to the highest standards of patient care and safety.

What you will do

• Perform and strictly adhere to aseptic techniques, ensuring a sterile field and surgical instruments remain uncontaminated throughout the procedure. Prepare the procedure room by setting up instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes according to procedure type and surgeon's preferences.
• Properly clean, sterilize, and store surgical instruments, ensuring they are in working condition before procedures.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs, passing instruments, supplies, and medications quickly and efficiently during procedures. Assist with patient positioning, draping, and preparation of the incision site as needed. Work closely with surgeons and nurses to ensure seamless operations during procedure. Maintain effective communication with the team to meet all patient needs throughout the procedure.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines. Monitor and manage the overall safety of the procedure room environment.
