Provide direct care and support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilitiesAssist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasksImplement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviorsAdminister medication according to prescribed guidelines and maintain accurate recordsEnsure the safety and well-being of individuals at all timesMaintain a clean and organized living environmentDocument individual progress and communicate effectively with team membersQualifications :
Experience or education in social work or a related field is preferredKnowledge of autism spectrum disorders and behavior management techniquesAbility to follow medication administration protocols and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulationsExperience working with children or in a childcare setting is a plusPhysical ability to lift and transfer individuals as neededValid driver's license and reliable transportation for transporting individuals to appointments or activities(mileage reimbursement)First aid and CPR certification is mandatoryThis position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to providing quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to work effectively as part of a team, and have a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
