Job description : Overview
We are seeking DSPs to service clients within the Minneapolis area on a part-time and full-time basis.
We typically meet with clients between the hours of 8am to 6pm early morning, late evenings and overnight hours are not available for staffing.
This area offers room for career growth as we are looking to train and promote from within to senior leadership roles.
Please note that this is not a group home setting, you will be meeting with clients in their own residences. This role is similar to an IHS (In home support) or ILS (Independent Living Skills) position.

- Understand and work to follow through with support plan goals
- Assist individuals in planning and structuring time together
- Timely completion of documentation of activities and progress as directed by supervisor
- Clear and professional communication with clients, Field Coordinators, and members of the support team
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalentExperience serving vulnerable populations preferred.Reliable car that is well maintained and suitable for client transportationValid driver’s license and valid car insuranceAbility to pass a criminal background checkAbility to pass and maintain required training for DHS compliance such as CPR / First aid and HIPAAEssential Functions
Occasionally move up to 20lbs for various client needs.Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 75% of the sessionFrequently move within and about the clients’ residence and / or community, including ascending / descending stairs or ladders.Have and maintain a valid driver's licenseFrequently, and throughout the session, verbally communicate with clientsAbility to view clients in-person throughout sessionsOur Direct Support Professionals work one on one with a client, in their own homes and in the community, to focus on goals that they have set for themselves, build skills that empower them, and help them to engage and integrate with their community while remaining independent.
Some of these tasks include :
Scheduling and attending medical appointmentsAssisting with day-to-day tasks i.e grocery shopping and running errands etc.Finance management i.e. helping them navigate technology to pay bills etc.Participating in a fun activity or hobbyProviding genuine companionship and reliable supportWe’re looking for individuals who share our Core Values :

Pay : $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
