Job Scope : The Global Manufacturing Engineer will support new products from ideation through production launch and the automation of processes for existing products. Responsibilities include providing guidance for design-for-manufacturability (DFM), designing and implementing robust manufacturing processes, managing production equipment builds, and supporting production initiatives on a global scale.

Responsibilities

• Support new and existing product initiatives by being an effective manufacturing representative on core teams working with product engineering, operations, quality, accounting, facilities engineering, and supply chain.
• Create and develop lean, robust, and innovative manufacturing processes for new products, including design, testing, and implementation of custom tooling and fixturing.
• Design-for-automation to enable post-launch cost reductions when product sales support an investment in automation.
• Specify, source, and manage automation projects from concept phase through steady-state production at the facility level.
• Develop and maintain process standards including standard work instructions, PFMEA's, process flow maps, control plans, and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Assist with cost reduction initiatives through product design, process optimization, sourcing, and global process implementation with a focus on automation projects.
• Research and determine feasibility of new technologies to be used in production processes.
• Facilitate transfer of best practice knowledge.
• Support and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental systems.
