Overview

Lecturer of Aerospace Engineering or Lecturer of Mechanical Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Kennesaw State University. This is a full-time, non-tenure track, nine-month contract with a preferred start date of January 2026. Location : Marietta, GA (campuses in Kennesaw and Marietta).

Responsibilities

  • Teaching undergraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Service to Department, College, University, and / or professional community.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Master\'s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • A PhD degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Expertise to teach Aerospace Engineering courses such as Spacecraft Design, Spacecraft Dynamics and Controls, Spacecraft propulsion, Orbital Mechanics and their laboratories.
  • Teaching familiarity with face-to-face, online or hybrid modalities.
  • Record of teaching Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering courses at the undergraduate level.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the Aerospace Engineering industry.
