Job Description

Our client, an American multi-level marketing company specializing in health, beauty, and home care products, is seeking a Jr. UI / UX Specialist.

This is a 3-month contract opportunity. Could have potential to extend.

This position will be on-site Mon-Thurs, with the option of Friday remote.

What do we need :

We are looking for a Junior Product Designer with UI and UX Design Experience to join a team of Digital Product Designers and provide UI and UX Design deliverables to Agile Product Teams.

What's special about this role :

In this role, you will sit on the Global Digital Product and Experience Design team (DXD) with several other amazing designers. You will support Agile Product Teams in delivering world-class software experiences, ranging from Native iOS apps to responsive web experiences. The DXD team is made up of both high-level agency resources and internal UI / UX professionals located in Michigan, California, Singapore, and around the globe.

  • Ability to empathize with customers and the needs of personas within these broader groups
  • Can draw connections between customer needs and design solutions
  • Ability to collaborate and be flexible with your product team regarding design solutions, design requirements, and time frames
  • You have a natural curiosity about human behavior and a data-driven decision-making mindset
  • Comfortable creating prototypes for testing and illustration purposes
  • Equally comfortable developing and communicating a point of view on experience and visual design
  • Familiar with universal design patterns for responsive web and mobile applications.
  • Experience in handing off designs to development and ensuring the UI quality of the final product
  • Functional understanding of coding and ability to converse with engineering teams
  • Ability to interpret and drive business needs and user data into actionable experience changes
  • Ability to create wireframes, design layouts, and design components
  • Continued education and research into UX trends and current design strategy, and technologies
  • Analyzing experience performance and determining design optimizations

Required Qualifications :

  • 1-3 years of experience in UX / UI Design
  • Experience providing UX Deliverables to Agile Product Teams with support from other Designers or Design Leads, including : Wireframes, User Flows, and Journey Maps.
  • Ability to create Low Fidelity Mockups, High Fidelity Visual Designs, and Interactive Prototypes
  • Proficient in at least one Product Design Tool : Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, etc (Figma is our tool of choice.)
  • Comfortable working with a design team to review designs and co-create.
  • Passion for learning and growing their design skillset.
