Janitorial Service Technician

Pay Rate : $17.00 an hour with $2.00 an hour additional shift differential on swing and grave shift

Sign On Bonus : $2,000 hire on bonus is for new hires and rehires that are returning after 5 years or more. The bonus will be paid out in equal $665 / $670 portions after successfully completing 3 months, 6 months and 9 months of employment with Treasure Island Resort & Casino.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Complete cleaning duties including restrooms according to standard operating procedures
  • Follow policies and procedures including maintaining a safe environment
  • Maintain good working relationships and an effective line of communication and report hazards, issues and equipment malfunctions to supervisors
  • Maintain clean working areas i.e. storage closets and equipment

Knowledge And Certification, Skills And Abilities

Preferred Knowledge and Certification :

  • Previous janitorial experience

    • Required Skills :

  • Accurate and detail-oriented
  • Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills

    • Required Abilities :

  • Ability to work fast and efficiently
  • Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
  • Ability to learn appropriate chemical usage and proper equipment usage
  • Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to serve both internal and external customers

    • Physical Demands

  • Must be able to walk and / or stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours
  • Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel
  • Must be able to reach and twist routinely
  • Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
  • Must have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds routinely
  • Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
  • Must have good eye hand coordination
  • Must be able to operate foot pedals

    • Working Environment

  • Work is performed throughout the property and may include excessive noise, dust and chemical fumes, flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Must handle hazardous materials
  • Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
  • Must be willing to clean body fluids when necessary
  • High volume direct public contact
