Employment Type Part time Shift Rotating Shift Description Position Purpose At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center , the Registered Nurse (RN) in the Main PACU provides post-operative care for patients recovering from complex surgeries performed in the Main OR of a Level 1 Trauma Center. What You Will Do Provide high-acuity care for patients recovering from outpatient surgical procedures. Manage Phase 1 and 2 recovery, ensuring safe emergence from anesthesia, stabilization, and readiness for discharge or transfer. Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and care teams to deliver advanced interventions and uphold perioperative standards. Required Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing required. Valid RN license in Connecticut Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Nursing The ideal candidate will have one or more years of PACU experience supporting inpatient surgical recovery Candidates with Emergency Room or ICU nurses with 2 or more years of experience may be considered if they demonstrate expertise in ICU-level ventilated patient care, critical drips (e.g., vasopressors, sedatives), and strong assessment skills. Note : Training is not available for candidates without this expertise.
