Physician (MD / DO) - Urgent Care

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to urgent care
• Perform common procedures such as laceration repair, abscess drainage, splinting, and wound care
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribe appropriate medications and provide patient education
• Document encounters accurately in the EMR
• Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure efficient operations and patient satisfaction

Schedule

• Rotating 3×4 schedule : 3 shifts one week and 4 the next (77 hours per pay period).
• Hours : weekdays run 8 AM-7 PM and weekends run 8 AM-5 PM. No on‑call duties.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay : $115-$140 / hour (approx. $230K-$291K / year), depending on experience and clinic location.

• Qualifications
• Licensed MD / DO in Alabama
• Active DEA, BLS, and ACLS certifications
• 1+ year of urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience preferred
• DOT certification a plus
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient service skills
