Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to urgent care
- Perform common procedures such as laceration repair, abscess drainage, splinting, and wound care
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests
- Prescribe appropriate medications and provide patient education
- Document encounters accurately in the EMR
- Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure efficient operations and patient satisfaction
Schedule
- Rotating 3×4 schedule : 3 shifts one week and 4 the next (77 hours per pay period).
- Hours : weekdays run 8 AM-7 PM and weekends run 8 AM-5 PM. No on‑call duties.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay : $115-$140 / hour (approx. $230K-$291K / year), depending on experience and clinic location.

- Qualifications
- Licensed MD / DO in Alabama
- Active DEA, BLS, and ACLS certifications
- 1+ year of urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience preferred
- DOT certification a plus
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient service skills
