Base pay range

$32.00 / hr - $39.00 / hr

What You Will Do :

  • Perform bridge and structural design as a structural EIT for various clients, including cities, counties, state, and private entities.
  • Work under Professional Engineers to deliver efficient, quality-focused designs.
  • Conduct structural calculations for new and existing structures, collaborate with technicians on drawings, develop project specifications, participate in inspections, and write reports on evaluations. Projects will mainly involve bridges, but also include retaining walls, buildings, hydraulic structures, etc.
  • Initially work under supervision; as skills develop, perform tasks independently with increased complexity.

What You Will Bring :

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's preferred. FE exam completion and EIT registration are pluses but not required initially.
  • Completion of FE exam within one year of employment if not already done.
  • Experience or coursework in bridge and structural design preferred.
  • Familiarity with LRFD procedures, proficiency in Excel, basic skills in Microstation or AutoCAD.
  • Strong technical, communication, and organizational skills; eagerness to learn and ask questions.
