Travel Nurse Job Details Location : Des Moines, IA 50309 (Iowa healthcare jobs) Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract Start Date : November 10, 2025 End Date : February 9, 2026 Shift : 6 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM, 10-hour day shifts Hours per Week : 40 Estimated Weekly Pay : $2190 - $2350 On-Call : Up to 1 overnight / week and 3 weekends per contract Setting : Level I Trauma Center, 16 operating room suites (12-14 in routine use) Patient Ratio : 1 : 1 Scrubs : Provided Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa (Iowa RN jobs) BLS certification (AHA) Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience Circulating experience required; scrubbing experience highly preferred Proficiency in General, Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma surgical cases Experience with EPIC EMR within the past 3 years Level I trauma center experience preferred Ability to float across multiple hospital campuses as needed At least 1 year of overall nursing experience required OR RN Responsibilities Deliver professional nursing care in the Operating Room, including circulating and scrubbing duties Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes Manage care for cardiac and trauma patients in a fast-paced clinical environment Assist with a variety of surgical procedures : cardiac, neuro, orthopedic trauma, robotics, gynecology, urology, general, pediatrics, transplants, ENT, and plastics Participate in on-call rotation, including overnight and weekend shifts Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC EMR Comply with hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards Support efficient operating room turnover (goal : less than 20 minutes) Apply now to join our Des Moines healthcare team as a Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse and take the next step in your nursing career!
