Empirical is seeking a talented Associate Financial Advisor (AFA), who under the guidance of a Lead Financial Advisor, will help coordinate comprehensive planning for clients. You will learn to conduct financial analysis, prepare financial plans, make investment recommendations, and help clients achieve their goals. You will have the opportunity develop your expertise in all areas of financial planning, strengthening your ability to serve high-net-worth clients as a future financial advisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboarding new clients, servicing existing clients, and demonstrating proficiency in integrating the advice of CFAs, CPAs, and JDs into the client relationship
- Client service, including preparing for client meetings, updating plans, reviewing portfolios, preparing reports, and implementing recommendations
- Supporting advisors in providing comprehensive financial planning, including cash flow analysis, investments, retirement, insurance, tax, and estate planning
- Collaborating across multiple teams, attending client and team meetings
- Performing administrative duties that support Financial Advisors in daily business practices, including gathering information regarding client finances, organizing electronic case files, preparing critical documentation and other correspondence, and completing special projects
- Acquiring and maintaining relevant certifications, credentials, and industry knowledge
Qualifications
3-5 years experience in the financial services industryBachelor's Degree, Series 65, and starting / working towards CFP certificationUnquestioned commitment to integrity in personal and professional activitiesExcellent verbal and written communication and exceptional math skills. The ability to clearly communicate with advisors and clients is critical to the position.Highly motivated with ability to function well in a fast-paced team environment where everyone pitches in as needed to get the job doneComfortable on camera for meetings, conferences, and presentationsAbility to do independent research and strong attention to detailDemonstrate technological acumen in applying new techniques and knowledge to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of financial planning processesProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of financial planning, CRM, trading, and custodian software is a plus.Proactive, self-starter by nature, friendly, strong desire to learn and ability to take directionBenefits
