Automation Technician

We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician with hands-on experience in Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting as well as Fanuc robotic systems. This role will support our manufacturing operations by ensuring optimal performance of automated systems, reducing downtime, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities :
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair automation equipment including Siemens PLCs and Fanuc robotic systems.
- Perform program modifications, backups, and recovery of PLC and robot control systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and system calibrations.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve automation processes.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and technical manuals.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and programming changes.
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning.
Requirements
3+ years of experience working with Siemens PLCs (e.g., S7-300, S7-1200, S7-1500).Proficiency in Fanuc robot programming and troubleshooting (e.g., R30iA / B controllers).Strong understanding of industrial automation systems, sensors, and HMIs.Ability to read and interpret PLC ladder logic and robot teach pendant instructions.High school diploma or GED.Preferred :
Associate degree or technical diploma in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Experience with TIA Portal, WinCC, or Step 7.Knowledge of safety standards related to robotics and automation (e.g., ISO 10218, ANSI / RIA).Familiarity with Ethernet / IP, ProfiNet, or other industrial communication protocols.
