What You'll Do

Direct and coordinate nursing care, overseeing both licensed and unlicensed personnel.
Engage patients and families in care planning and discharge processes.
Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient care.
Assist in defining standards of excellence for patient care and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Orient new staff members and act as a resource for hospital policies.
Contribute to daily operational activities ensuring a safe environment.
Provide input to the Nurse Manager regarding unit needs.
Participate in committees to shape nursing and hospital policies.

What You'll Bring

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.

At least two years of Labor and Delivery experience required.

Valid RN License from Virginia or a reciprocal compact state.

BSN preferred.

AHA BLS Provider CPR certification required at hire.

AHA ACLS Provider certification required within 6 months.

NRP certification required within 6 months.
