Mechanical Design Engineer – Siemens NX / Powertrain / Tooling Design

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in Siemens NX Powertrain assembly , and test equipment design . This role focuses on the design and development of special machine tooling and pallet tooling , supporting high-precision engineering projects in an advanced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of experience with Siemens NX for mechanical design and drafting

Proven experience in Powertrain assembly design and / or test equipment design

Hands-on facility layout experience , including workspace planning and equipment integration

Familiarity with transport systems is a plus

Exposure to transport pallet design is a plus

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary designer working onsite at the Fenton facility approximately 90% of the time , with occasional local travel

Lead the design of custom machine tooling and pallet tooling tailored for automotive and industrial applications

Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Project Engineer to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines

Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work overtime as needed to meet critical project deadlines

This role is ideal for candidates with deep technical expertise and a hands-on approach to solving complex design challenges in a fast-paced engineering environment.
