The primary role of the Student Event Tech 1 position at Elliott Hall of Music is assisting in set up, tear down, and restore of events and / or scanning tickets and assisting guests with finding their seats. The goal of this position is to give students valuable real-world experience in a live event production environment and front of house experience. The Student Event Tech 1 position should work 10-20 hours per week during the current semester. Those hours may be worked in any combination, based upon event needs at the discretion of the direct supervisor. The Student Event Tech 1 position must be reliable, organized, responsible, and flexible. They must also be ambitious, detail-oriented, creative, and driven.
The wage for this position is $11.50 per hour.
Experience
Previous work experience within live event production and / or front of house preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Flexible and dependable with a strong attention to detail
Problem solving, logic and reasoning skills
Customer service oriented
Ability to multi-task and work within deadlines
Ability to work independently and with a team
