Section Manager, Hardware Engineering
The Section Manager, Hardware Engineering is part of the Hardware and Infrastructure (HW&I) Engineering Team. This is an opportunity to join a team developing the next generation Air Traffic Control (ATC) and Weather Data Reporting systems, as well as providing support to existing fielded systems.
Collins Aerospace is a world leader in air traffic sensors and automation systems, responsible for providing air traffic tools to ANSPs in the US and abroad. We design, develop, document, deploy and support COTS based and Custom-designed Systems, which use the power of the network to share information and aid in decision-making. These systems allow end users to protect people and property.
The Section Manager will lead a team of Engineers - within the Electrical and Mechanical Design department of the HW&I directorate performing development and sustainment tasks such as : Network design, implementation and monitoring; COTS electrical, network, processor and mechanical design, integration and test; thermal analysis; site design and implementation. The team's core capabilities are : Hardware Requirements Development; COTS-based System Design and Implementation; Engineering support to production and deployment.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.
